Snail Catch is a Georgian-Norwegian company

Snail Catch is a Georgian-Norwegian company founded in 2021 as a joint venture between the Georgian company Nadi Group and the Norwegian company Arctic Catch AS. The company specializes in the production and processing of Helix Aspersa and Helix lucorum snails, manufacturing semi-finished products including escargot and frozen fillet, as well as selling snail shells. Each year, we raise, harvest, and process up to 500 tons of mollusks, producing semi-finished and ready-to-eat products that are sold through retail chains across Georgia.

Our Farm

Our two snail farms, located in the villages of Menji and Khibula in the Samegrelo region of Western Georgia, are equipped with cutting-edge technologies for cultivating these mollusks. Currently, the company has 8 hectares of land prepared for snail farming.

The Samegrelo region is the most ecologically pristine area in Western Georgia. This microclimate ensures a longer-than-usual harvesting season and favorable growing conditions. During the season, which runs from September to May, Snail Catch LLC can harvest up to 200 tons of live Helix Aspersa Muller and Helix Aspersa Maxima snails from its facilities.

Snail Catch operates two high-tech incubators for breeding new generations from parent snails. These incubators cover an area of over 1,000 m² and have the capacity to produce 100,000 boxes (correx units).
